There was a business session "Enhancing insurance ethics and fair insurance: earning clients' loyalty, improving affordability and quality of insurance” within the framework of the Moscow Financial Forum on September 7.
Speakers discussed issues related to the availability of insurance services. They paid special attention to the issue of trust between insurers and insurance companies. For example, according to Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, the problem of trust is the key one.
"The insuring parties are considered fraudsters, and the insurance underwriters of the company are swindlers. People believe that it is easier to pay a fine for the absence of a MTPL policy than to buy it. I must admit that the state is guilty of the fact that there are no corresponding conditions. The market should be regulated in such a way that people are sure: the state controls the situation where fraud is possible," said Alexey Moiseev.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister believes that it is necessary to move away from excessive regulation: "We went through the phase in the MTPL market when it's time to weaken control in the hope that the market will put everything in its place."
Also, Alexey Moiseev noted the growth in the volume of voluntary life insurance.
