Within the framework of Moscow Financial Forum 2018, the session “New challenges in the social sphere facilitating achievement of Russia's demographics and healthcare national objectives till 2024” was held. It was discussed how to create a modern medical infrastructure, and how to ensure the availability of medical facilities for the population.

According to Anton Kotyakov, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, 3 trillion rubles are planned to be spent on the development of healthcare within the national project. This amount includes not only the purchase of modern medical equipment and modernization of the oncology program, but also automation in the health sector.

“More than 1 trillion rubles are allocated for the national project “Digital Economics”. That is all about establishing the infrastructure, providing high-speed Internet to schools and hospitals. We plan to create a single information space for all healthcare institutions, including primary care institutions," said Anton Kotyakov.

There will also be developed a united information database for storage of all diagnostic studies. This is necessary so that doctors can find the required pictures and studies for each person, and the patient should not need to bring a record with him.

We recall that according to Executive Order signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in May 2018 health is one of the priority areas of the social sphere. It needs to be transformed through the introduction of digital technologies and platform solutions.
