“Testing programs and training for employees work quite successfully. However, in many cases, due to various reasons, employers cannot offer career opportunities to employees who have acquired additional knowledge and skills. As a result, people do not find application for their new competencies. There are high expectations and disappointments. At the same time, the question on justification of spending money and time for training arises. In this regard, the issues of effective rotation, career growth of talented professionals, who in the conditions of competition among employers can choose who is ready to offer a higher position, more attractive working conditions, are of particular relevance", says Yury Zubarev, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.
Today in Russia there are a number of programs for assessment, selection and training of professionals with high potential, implemented by the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” and other development institutions. Thanks to this large-scale work and spread of corporate training programs, a new generation of ambitious highly qualified professionals is emerging in the country.
“Leaders of Russia” National Competition allows managers to test themselves in the framework of an open competition and get objective feedback about their competencies. Winners receive opportunities for further professional development: a mentor from among the leading managers of the country, educational grants, but most importantly - horizontal connections with other participants in the competition, opportunities for implementing joint projects. In addition to the “Leaders of Russia” National Competition, internal competitions held in state institutions and companies among their employees are of great importance for development of personnel. Currently, such local competitions are held in particular in the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Tax Service of Russia, “Rosseti”, as well as within entire constituent entities of the federation”, said Alexey Komissarov, Director, ANO Russia – the Land of Opportunities, Vice Rector, RANEPA, Director, Higher School of Public Administration.
The country’s leading experts in the field of selection, training and development, heads of HR departments of Russian and foreign companies, personnel services of state institutions will discuss any advantages and disadvantages of existing programs for assessing and training specialists, the problems of adapting highly efficient ambitious employees to existing standards in the corporate and public sectors, as well as issues of the work of Russian talent development institutions.
How to satisfy the self-realization needs of employees with high potential? How can companies retain high-performance, ambitious employees without the ability to guarantee rapid career growth? What will help stop the intellectual migration of promising young people? These and other issues are the focus of the participants of the Moscow Financial Forum.
