Director of the Department of Investment Policy and Entrepreneurial Development of the Ministry of Economic Development of RF Milena Arslanova listed the main indicators and tasks of developing small and medium business in Russia at the Business Activity: Challenges and Growth Drivers session.
“Average “life-time” of entrepreneurs is up to five years. We want to make it six years minimum and change the structure of the small business in the country”, Milena Arslanova said. According to her, the Department gave the entrepreneurs complete control of the right to identify regulatory restrictions to be further deleted from legislation: “There will be no drastic changes for businessmen, they are going to get an official status. They will only start identifying themselves as entrepreneurs”.Participants of the session pointed out the bottlenecks of state support of the small and medium business and areas of growth, as well as the ways to support the first-time entrepreneurs in starting and developing their business.
“Today, there are over 15 business service centers providing all the necessary information to entrepreneurs. We give them assistance in filling out tax-related documents, selecting a facility, filling out tax returns, absolutely free of charge. This is part of the city measures aimed to support businessmen. Our mbm.ru project has already covered more than 90 thousand businessmen”, reported Alexandr Isaevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow.
