THE MOSCOW FINANCIAL FORUM HAS STARTED IN MANEGE

The 4th Annual Moscow Financial Forum has begun its work in the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. The business sessions timetable as well as their streaming can be viewed on the web-site in the Program section.

The fourth Forum’s topic — “The Russian Economy: Possibilities for Priority Development”. This year it is devoted to discussion of the Russian economy development prospects and achievement of high rates of development. The decisions made at the Forum will serve as the basis for determination of the Russian financial and economic policy key directions in the medium term.

“In the economy, you should weigh 10 times before investing. You need not spend fast in order to report quickly. It is essential to achieve a quality final result. Every step costs something, and it is not always finance”, noted Vladimir Kolychev, Deputy Finance Minister of the Russian Federation, at the business lunch “Prospects of the Russian Economy and Financial Markets”, held with the assistance of Bloomberg.

“Small and medium business make the powerhouse of economy”, stated Alexander Isaevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow, at the “Business Activity: Problems and Sources for Growth” session. “In Moscow, every third person is engaged in small or medium business. The share of tax revenues from SMB to the Moscow city budget increased for 47%”, he noted.

Issues of enhancement of operation of social systems and practices, including provision of transparency and increase of availability of social support measures, were discussed within “Increase of Availability and Quality of Support for the Citizens by Means of Digitization” session. “I hope that such a system as the electronic certificate will help a large number of citizens”, told Michael Terentiev, the Chairman of the All-Russian Society of Disabled People.

In the morning of September, 12, business sessions “Currency Exchange Regulation: Facing an Exporter”, “The National Projects and the Regions: the Set Tasks and Ways of Their Solution”, “Labor Efficiency as the Way of Thinking”, “Enhancement of State Procurement Mechanisms”, “Improvement of Customs Administration. Priority of Electronic Technologies” and others were held on the Mosfinforum grounds.

At the discussion platforms of the Forum, the participants negotiate issues of the economy competitiveness increase, tax policy efficiency, improvement of state support measures, financial markets development, encouragement of business activity, and other relevant topics.
